tcSpeeds offers valuable features to analyze and enhance your sailing experience. It provides detailed insights such as current speed, average speeds, maximum speed, directional speeds, velocity made good, and wind measurements. The proprietary Pilot Performance Index (PPI) allows you to evaluate your performance on a straight course and compare it with others.
One of the advantages of tcSpeeds is its independence from external hardware or connections, utilizing your device's internal GPS, accelerometers, and compass. For wind measurement, the integration of the Calypso Ultrasonic Wind sensor is necessary, with plans to support additional sensors in the future.
Designed for iPhones and GPS-equipped iPads, tcSpeeds is easy to use to reduce user operational burden. It requires zero setup; simply install the app, launch it, and tap the start button.
